Basic Life Support: Adult Initial Assessment, Resuscitation & Advisory Defibrillation (Practical Session)

Purpose

To facilitate participants with the opportunity to gain a practical update in Adult Basic Life Support including a demonstration of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), based on current UK Resuscitation Council (2025) guidelines.

Learning Outcomes

Demonstrate the ability to perform effective Basic Life Support and use an AED safely and effectively.

Audience

Please note this programme is not available for HSC Trust staff

All frontline care staff (Nurses, Doctors, HCAs, AHPs, SW)

Participants must ensure that they have completed the Basic Life Support (Adult) E-learning on https://learn.hscni.net prior to attendance at this programme and bring their Basic Life Support (Adult) E-learning certificate as evidence that they have completed the programme. Failure to do so may result in refusal of admission on to this programme.
