STORM© Suicide Prevention and self-harm mitigation Level 1 - 1 day


Purpose

To develop skills and confidence in order to help people that self-harm focusing on suicide self-injury and self-harm

Learning Outcomes
  • To develop a good understanding of self-harm
  • To promote a positive and enabling approach
  • Develop skills in assessment of risk and vulnerability
  • Develop skills in short term safety planning
Audience

All Trust staff working in Health & Social Care who have a basic responsibility for the safety of patients who present with self-harm or suicide ideation

  • e.g. most frontline staff with no Mental Health training
Method

Online or face to face delivery

Attendance on this programme is conditional to the return of a signed consent form. Applicants who are offered a place and do not return the signed consent form will have the offer withdrawn.
