To raise awareness of the principles of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) with the opportunity for application of DBT skills to enhance person centred care

• Identify the theory and main principles of DBT
• Explore the main skills utilised in the delivery of DBT interventions
• Practice and apply the main skills used within DBT
• Explore and discuss, with reference to a variety of healthcare settings, the benefit of DBT skills to enhance person centred practice
