Pressure Ulcer Prevention and Management Including PURPOSE T and the SSKIN Bundle

Purpose

To increase participants understanding of what is pressure damage, identify those ‘at risk’ using PURPOSE T and actions required utilising the SSKIN Bundle

Learning Outcomes

• Describe the Physiological changes that occur in the development of pressure damage
• Discuss the Impact of pressure damage on the individual and the Health service
• Provide an overview of the PURPOSE T Assessment tool and how to use it to identify risk and plan care
• Identify the SSKIN Bundle for adult patients with or ‘at risk’ of developing pressure damage and the actions required
