Dermatology & Malignancy for HSC Podiatrists


Purpose
  • To enable participants to revise and extend their knowledge of disorders of the skin and its appendages, particularly those affecting the foot
  • To enable participants to further develop clinical recognition skills relating to a range of common foot dermatoses
  • To enhance skills of participants in management of some skin disorders affecting the foot
Learning Outcomes
  • Identify the burden of skin disease on the general population, particularly those disorders affecting the foot.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of a basic assessment of the skin using appropriate methods and terminology
  • Describe causes and clinical features of common dermatoses affecting the foot and lower leg
  • Discuss skin neoplasia and recommended management strategies relevant to scope of practice
  • Identify appropriate management planning for a range of common skin conditions which affect the lower limb encompassing a multi-disciplinary approach
  • Describe suitable method(s) of measuring the outcome of management
