Graded Care Profile 2

Purpose

To provide participants with the opportunity to develop the use of the NSPCC Graded Care Profile 2 tool for measuring, assessing and targeting areas of neglect to support the children and their families they are working with.

Learning Outcomes

• Able to apply the NSPCC Graded Care Profile 2 tool in practice in accordance with the NSPCC recommendations
• Able to discuss the issues encountered in practice regarding the defining and responding to neglect in children
• Have had the opportunity to discuss how the Graded Care Profile 2 tool can assist to engage and collaborate with parents/carers in identifying and responding to neglect
• Able to appreciate the need for an interagency approach when working with child neglect concerns

Audience

Public Health Nurses (Registered), Paediatric Nurses (Registered) and Midwives.

Online or face to face delivery

To complete this programme online you must join using a device which has a functioning camera and microphone.

Supervised Practice

Following this theoretical component, the participant must engage with an appropriate skilled practitioner in their clinical area, to further develop a greater knowledge and understanding of this person-centred care activity.  it is also the responsibility of the individual participant to complete this activity and to confirm completion with their line manager.
