Bereavement, Grief and Loss (Blended Learning)


Purpose

To develop an understanding of the grief process and your role in providing effective care and support to people experiencing loss.

Learning Outcomes
  • Identify a range of theories and reactions to bereavement, grief and loss (e-learning)
  • Explain the different types of grief, eg: anticipatory and complicated grief.
  • Demonstrate, through role play, the use of effective communication skills.
  • Explore the care and support offered to individuals during the grieving process.  
  • Identify and determine self-care strategies and how these can be utilised to support self and members of the team.
