Purpose

The purpose of the programme is provide practical tools and strategies for fostering empathy and compassion in health and social care interactions. It aims to enhance participant’s self awareness and ability to practice self compassion and to promote a culture of relational care and support within health and social care teams by integrating compassionate care practice into their daily work routines.

• Reflect on personal and professional motivations for working in healthcare and how these impact daily practice
• Describe the core principles of Relational Based Care (RBC) and social connectedness and their relevance in healthcare
• Develop practical strategies to build meaningful relationships with service users, colleagues and yourself.
• Create a personal action plan to sustain passion and purpose in your role
