Nutritional Management of Pancreatic Diseases


Purpose

To provide an overview of the nutritional management of pancreatic diseases.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the programme, participants will have

  • Increased knowledge of pancreatic disease and surgical management options
  • Improved knowledge and understanding of the nutritional management of acute pancreatitis.
  • Improved knowledge and understanding of the nutritional management of chronic pancreatitis / PEI (pancreatic exocrine insufficiency)
  • Improved knowledge and understanding of the nutritional management of PEI & pancreatic cancer
  • Improved understanding and knowledge of type 3c diabetes management in patients with pancreatic diseases.
  • Awareness of patient experience / perspective (if suitable service user identified and available)
Audience

Dietitians - preferably working with relevant patient group.

Specialist HPB CNS may also join session if desired.
