Memory Rehabilitation Masterclass


Purpose

To improve and update knowledge on memory difficulties in every day functioning and how the Home-based Memory Rehabilitation programmed can be used to empower the person to live as independently as possible for as long as possible using tailored memory intervention strategies. 

Learning Outcomes
  • Describe how dementia impacts on cognition; attention; memory and how this can lead to difficulties in every day functioning.
  • Discuss recent developments in memory rehabilitation and intervention strategies.
  • Identify how the Home-based Memory Rehabilitation programme can improve/maintain function for longer
  • Explore practical tools to treat and reduce memory difficulties in every day functioning and empower service users to maintain independence in activities of daily living.
Audience

Occupational Therapists working in specialist Dementia Services and other Occupational Therapists working consistently with people with memory difficulties at Bands 5, 6 & 7
