To enhance the participant's knowledge on Arterial Blood Gas (ABG) Analysis to facilitate identification of acid base disturbances.

Learning Outcomes

Review the indications for obtaining an Arterial Blood Gas (ABG) sample.
Analyse the physiology involved in the acid-base balance of the body.
Apply a systematic approach to analyse arterial blood gas results.
Interpret ABG results using adult patient case studies.

Audience

Registered Nurse, Physiotherapist (Not suitable for paediatric nurses)
