Frailty: Tier 3


Purpose

To provide all those working with older people with enhanced understanding of Frailty and Frailty assessments, thereby ensuring earlier recognition, improved healthcare management and better outcomes.

Learning Outcomes
  • Describe the spectrum of Frailty as a long term condition.
  • Identify validated screening tools as they relate to Frailty.
  • Explain benefit of comprehensive geriatric assessment.
  • Discuss the significance of Frailty and impact of gerontological approach to care.
Audience

All Professionally Registered Staff working within HSC.

Tier 1 and 2 eLearning completion is a requirement before attending. This is available on Learn HSCNI.
