Neurology Update for Podiatrists


Purpose

To update podiatrists on a range of neurological conditions, increasing awareness of their impact on the lower limb, enhancing diagnostic skills, and supporting effective podiatric assessment and management.

Learning Outcomes

By completing this programme, you should be better able to:

  • Describe the structure and function of the nervous system relevant to lower limb health.
  • Recognise the impact of neurological conditions on lower limb function, tissue viability, and mobility.
  • Differentiate between common neurological conditions affecting the lower limb and their implications for podiatric care.
  • Evaluate the contribution of the multidisciplinary team to the diagnosis and management of neurological conditions.
  • Apply enhanced knowledge to optimise podiatric assessment and management of patients with neurological conditions

Registered Podiatrists who wish to enhance their skills in assessment and management of patients presenting with neurological conditions
